This is seriously a joke, in the truest form. I'm not spending more money just to close down my MS account, which will also wreck havoc on all my Windows 10 installations. I'd honestly have no issue with closing my MS account, but I have purchased apps on there, that I presumably cannot transfer to another account. Microsoft, what the fuck? Who seriously suggested to permanently link one Skype account to a MS account, that was impossible to eradicate unless the MS account was closed as a whole? Just a couple months back, I was able to easily shut down my Skype account without it affecting my MS account. Here's the catch when you close your Skype account, your MS account is closed as well. Unfazed, I requested him to just close my Skype account. That's right it's impossible to unlink your Skype account from your MS account now.
So I contacted one, and he said that the feature isn't just not currently available, but it's just flat out not available. I just tried to unlink my old Skype account from my MS account, and I was told that the feature is not currently available.
